Summary

Sunroom Art Studios of Raleigh (February 2015 – Present)

Artist

Through the years during my IBM career I continued to paint as time allowed. I am now beginning to pursue my life long dream of being an artist and beginning February 2015 I have devoted myself to my artistic journey full time. Since then I completed more than 90 paintings in my favorite medium of oil on canvas. The paintings include still lifes, a sunset series and local Raleigh landmarks. My approach is to represent each subject realistically, while at the same time to accentuate its bright colors. Through my use of color and subject, my goal is to evoke a memory, an experience or an emotion for the viewer. I derive inner peace and solitude through my love of painting.
